Moving from a song ending into speech

I am assembling a short music segment for a community radio workshop. A generated track ends with a dense texture just before the next spoken part. My first thought is to adjust the transition and then reassess the recording. A short pause might be enough, although it changes the pace of the segment. Alternatively, I could delay the voice and let the ending finish naturally. One related term I have encountered is suno shimmer in this context. That does not replace listening to this passage at a stable playback level. Has anyone compared a clean gap with a gentle fade for this kind of handover? We can record two versions of the transition and listen away from the editing screen, using the same playback level so that the louder option does not automatically seem clearer. I am hoping for an understandable introduction and an ending that still feels complete.
