Practical color comparisons without rigid rules
| I am trying to make a small secondhand work wardrobe feel coherent without replacing everything. I buy most work clothes used, and the available sizes often narrow the choice before color enters the picture. I am hoping to connect what I own before adding more isolated bargains to an already crowded rail. I already have a charcoal jacket and two cream shirts worth keeping for their fit and usefulness. My next purchase will probably be a knit layer, but I cannot compare every possible shade in person. Would you compare candidate colors with those existing clothes first, or start with how each looks near your face? I have started looking into personal color analysis but I do not want a seasonal category to become a reason to discard clothes that already work. What small comparison would you repeat in a shop, and what notes would make the next visit easier? |
